Yesterday we talked about a USP, today we are going to switch it up.

Every year, I head to the University of Kentucky to play in a basketball tournament.

It’s a blast!

In Rupp Arena I hit a game-winning shot, in game two, with 2 seconds left on the clock.

You can see the proof here.

I also can say I am the only 6′ 1″ old guy that has dunked on Shaq.

These camps are a blast.

The teams are coached by the likes of John Calipari, Tony Barbee, and my coach, Seth Greenberg.

We raise millions for charity while having a great time playing ball. But it’s not all fun and games…

It’s hard work.

It takes a lot of mental endurance, physical sweat, and the application of fundamentals. By day three, your body wants to completely shut down. You do everything possible just to keep moving.

Since most of us on the court are CEOs, executives, and business owners… there is a palpable hate for losing.

We win. It’s war.

In the semi-final game, I had the chance to shoot the last shot.

Picture this: 6 seconds left on the scoreboard. I’m at the top of the key, handling the ball while waiting for the screen. It was the perfect set up as I shook my defender and managed to get the exact look at the rim that I wanted. I was on fire that game, so I felt confident in having the ball and taking the final stab at the basket. Coming off the screen, I bolted around the 3 point line and took the shot…

Perfection… Technical perfection.

My arms were extended, my eyes were glued on the basketball as it flew through the air, propelled by the skills I work so hard to perfect. Time stood still as both teams eyed the fate of my attempt to win.

Anyway, the point?

As a business owner or a marketing director, you must be willing to take the shot, a shot, any shot. You’ll miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. I am blown away by how many businesses are doing nothing. They create zero content, spend zero on ads, never post on social media, and are nowhere on the internet.

Spend money trying new things…trust your gut…adapt to new technology…find new lead sources…put your product out there.

Marketing is always changing and you have to learn to change with it. Shoot your shot with.

TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. These are all excellent platforms to deliver your message to your target audience.

Anyway, that’s something to chew on while you sit on the bench.

My shot?

Hit the back of the rim and rattled out. We lost in triple overtime. That’s just the way it goes. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Since I am all about competition, I wanted to give you guys a way to profit from your competitor’s videos.

By spending $5 a day on YouTube ads, you can run ads in front of your competitor’s videos.

We get a lot of leads from doing this. This is exactly what I do for my companies.

Use it and abuse it.

Have a great day and make sure you are taking shots.

P.S. “Most businesses fail because they market the wrong message. We created a system that tells your story and delivers that story to the right audience at the right time so your business grows.”
